We offer the full range of Kremer Pigments in the U.S. Rare historical colors, handmade watercolors, and raw materials for artists & conservators. Ships from NYC.

New York Pigment Company is a new retail space for color, research, workshops, and exhibitions. We envision this shop as a meeting place to share information and open new ways of studying and seeing color.

We are Roger Danilo Carmona and Rachael Fischer. Roger was General Manager for Kremer Pigments for nearly two decades, and Rachael worked for 11 years as the Assistant Manager. Our work there was assisting countless artists, craftspersons, luthiers, and conservators with technical questions, workshops, and product advice. In-person access to raw art materials and a space to talk about them is a necessity for artists.

New York Pigment Company is for anyone that wants to know more about their materials. How can we help your practice? What materials do you depend on? What have you had difficulty sourcing?

  • Zenexo® Golden Shine

    UTP® metal interference pigments consist of aluminum flakes coated with silicon oxide, providing Zenexo® effect pigments with a distinct metallic appearance and deep gloss. These pigments offer high hiding power and color intensity, compatible with acrylic, tempera, watercolor, and oil mediums. During application, the pigment particles align with the brush stroke. This is a very light pigment; use caution when opening the packaging and during processing to avoid dusting.

    Brightness is based on the reflection of light. If all light is reflected back, then the object is white. The pigment Titanium White, with its high opacity and a degree of whiteness close to 100%, is almost solely used for the bright colors of our modern age.   • Dispersion K9

    Good binding stength, low surface contamination, without ammonia, formaldehyde-free, pleasant smell, slightly tacky. It is possible to achieve very matte paint when thinned. Compatible with Potassium Silicate (#77750) and Syton® (#31430). Recommended thickener is Thickener K 15 (#76910).
