The Color Collective: Our Community Bulletin Board

The Color Collective is an online space we've created to bring artists together. The more people post to it, the more effective it can be. You can put out announcements for events, classes, gigs and jobs, as well as post your CV/resume for others to find out about you. 

What You’ll Find Here

Our board is divided into four main zones to help you find exactly what (or who) you’re looking for:

  • Job Openings: Jobs, commissions, and studio assistant roles. 
  • Marketplace: Ads for local creative businesses, events, and workshops.
  • Projects: Quick tasks, "help wanted" for big installs, or requests for collaborative brainstorming.
  • Artist Resumes: A space for individuals to post their portfolios and let the community know they are available for hire.

  • Categorize your post so the right people see it.
  • Add your contact info (we recommend a website, professional email or social handle).
  • Give relevant details Feel free to upload a photo of your work or your business logo.

The Color Collective will be reviewed and vetted. We ask that all posts remain respectful, transparent about pay and rates, and strictly related to the creative and local business community. We review posts weekly to ensure everything stays fresh and relevant.

Utleys LLC, a growing manufacturing company in Queens, is looking for a skilled Spray Painter / Color Matcher to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, consistency, and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do
• Perform high‑quality spray painting on production parts

• Mix and match colors accurately using provided formulas and visual matching

• Prepare surfaces, maintain equipment, and follow proper spray‑booth procedures

• Work with urethane and specialty coatings

• Ensure consistent finish quality and adherence to shop standards

What We’re Looking For
• Experience with HVLP spray guns and booth operations

• Strong eye for color and detail

• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain a clean, safe workspace

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
