Dispersion K 498

Dispersion K 498 is a reliable pigment acrylic binder that works beautifully as your foundation for acrylic formulations. It's also a great choice when you're looking to create organo-silicate paints—just add it as an additive to your mix. This pigment dispersion maintains optimal performance when diluted with water and requires proper storage conditions to preserve its integrity. Keep in a frost-protected environment and avoid processing below 5°C. When sealed tightly and shielded from extreme temperatures, it retains full quality for up to one year.

Painter's Note: This is a customer favorite. It is slightly thicker than our other acrylic binders, enough to impart body but not heavy impasto. From experience, it can be diluted up to 4 parts water or so, before it starts to lose adhesion. This makes this medium highly versatile and economical. It is on the semi-gloss side and with further dilution, it'll get more matte.
