Cobalt Violet, light, PV 14

Brilliant Cobalt Violet Light Crafted from true cobalt phosphate, this is the clearest, most transparent light violet currently available. Its exact hue—ranging from a warmer reddish-violet to a cooler, deep violet—is uniquely determined by the firing temperature during its production. Replacing our retired Cobalt Violet (#45820), this new iteration features a slightly more tactile, granular texture. It performs beautifully in the studio with tempera and almost all acrylic dispersions (excluding Dispersion K 9 #75367).

Studio Notes: If mixing for watercolor, the paint should be used immediately. We strongly advise against using this pigment in oil binders due to an exceptionally slow drying time.
