Glass Flakes, medium

Glass flakes 59850 to 59852 are obtained by a special process from borosilicate glass. These flakes, 4 µ thick, act as a filler material in coatings, forming a flake shell that significantly reduces the permeability of the coating to gases or liquids. These flakes are often used for industrial purposes, for rust protection in primers, for port equipment and in industrial installations subjected to severe conditions, in order to extend the exposure time of the coating. For artistic purposes, the exceptional optical properties of these flakes allow the production of very high quality, wear-resistant coatings. For technical applications 250-500 gr. of flakes per liter of binder are used.
