Cadmium pigments are renowned for their exceptional lightfastness, opacity, and versatility, making them suitable for various artistic techniques. However, their combustion releases toxic fumes, which necessitates their prohibition in utilitarian and painting applications, such as colored wall designs. Furthermore, we strongly advise against using these pigments in encaustic.
