Chalcopyrite

Chalcopyrite is a copper iron sulfide CuFeS2, a mixture in the crystal of pyrite and chalcocite, an important copper ore. For copper smelting, the ore must either be roasted or converted to water-soluble copper sulfate by bacterial decomposition.
