Violet de Quindo foncé, PV 55

Supplied in a low-dust, prilled (granular) format, Quindo Violet Dark is a deep, highly versatile synthetic organic pigment. While the prills wet out effortlessly in oil, they demand patient and rigorous mulling to fully break down the particles and unlock the pigment's true optical depth. Because it is naturally slow to cure, a touch of siccative is highly recommended for oil formulations. It behaves beautifully in acrylic mediums, though extra care must be taken with tempera, where it has a stubborn tendency to clump. When thinned out for transparent techniques like watercolor or oil glazing, its heavy mass tone opens up into a luminous, brilliant bluish-violet hue.
