Charbon anthracite

Anthracite is a slightly grainy, grayish black carbon pigment from high-grade hard coal. It is suitable for water-based techniques, tempera and lime paint but is especially easy to handle in acrylic. The outcome of Anthracite oil color is a fascinating deep, neutral black but the grainy pigment needs to be thoroughly processed and dries rather slowly.
